Music Ministries
Music is an integral part of worship at St. John’s. If you are unable to join any of the above groups, but have a love for music, and the desire to participate in the music of St. John’s, please contact Director of Parish Music, Noah Gundermann. There are always opportunities for soloists, instrumentalists, and ensembles.
Contemporary Worship Team
The contemporary worship team leads music for Saturday evening service. The group rehearses Saturday afternoon, prior to the worship service. Contact Noah Gundermann if you play an instrument or are interested in serving on the team.
Gospel Ringers Handbell Choir
The Gospel Ringers handbell choir shares sacred music to enhance the worship service. Bringing exultation and jubilation, the bells are also utilized to play introductions and accompaniments to hymns. They also combine with the Worship Choir and instrumental ensembles for festival services. Ages 10-adult. Wednesdays, 7-8pm.
Worship Choir
Worship Choir involves both men and women of high-school age and up that would like to use their voice to help lead in Traditional Worship. This group usually sings twice a month within the worship services (as well as on feasts/holidays) from early September through the end of May. Rehearsal time is 6-7pm Wednesday evenings. If you enjoy using your voice to Praise the Lord this is the group for you!
