The Gospel of St. Mark
March 24 6:30 pm | St John's Sanctuary
On Palm Sunday, March 24th at 6:30pm, Tom Stolz, long-time actor at Old Log Theater, will present the Gospel of Mark in its entirety. The acclaimed production, which takes about 90 minutes with a short intermission, has been presented since 1984. The reciting of the book will draw you into the Gospel narrative in a way that reading a few verses at a time never could. What an amazing way to begin Holy Week!
Stolz has performed The Gospel of St. Mark in living rooms, art centers, churches, and even prisons across the Twin Cities, the country, as well as in Switzerland and Israel. A long-time actor with Old Log Theater, Tom is also the founder of Promised Land Productions, which is dedicated to spreading the Gospel message through the theater arts. The Palm Sunday presentation at St. John’s is free to the public and a freewill offering will benefit Timber Bay of Buffalo. Timber Bay uses a blending of large group times, small group activities, service projects, one-on-one mentoring, retreats and camping, to give youth opportunities to make positive connections with adults in a supportive, encouraging atmosphere. Ben Harvey, husband of Noah’s Ark Preschool teacher, Anne, is the Buffalo Area Director. Find out more about Timber Bay here.
